Trans Canadian Coupler Conference #2 wrapped up this week.  Ride the Canadian while you still can.  And if you're lucky, windstorms in the Fraser River Canyon will add a day to your trip... and daylight through the best part!
....
The last tragedy was that getting into Vancouver at 2:00 am meant the Chicago crew missed a visit with @GaryHinshaw.

I'm so jealous.  If you do this again next spring, count me in!  Really sorry to have missed you guys this week, but at least Andrew was able to stay over long enough to drop off some more samples for me and regale me with more N-Possible stories.  The more I hear his back stories, the more impressed I am with what he has managed to pull off!

Just making more of the same

That has a striking similarity to the Pacific Great Eastern cars that originally came from the Oregon Electric Railway!!

Little, big update for me this weekend. Hockey season is over which means I have a little extra time in the mornings to make some progress. So, I broke out the Sculptamold so I can finally move along with the base scenery on the last section of my layout. This spot serves as the "interchange" and end of the layout and the scenic divider to "the rest of the world". Baby steps.

Yesterday was a BANTRAK meeting at @DeltaBravo 's place where he got to show off the progress on his awesome WM layout. Of course I had to come ruin it with some PC junk.

He's not going to post photos, but I will.

This week I did some paving on the East Norwood layout.  This is made with DAS modeling clay, painted with Tamiya Sky Grey, then given a couple washes with black or AK oiled earth.  You can also see the "interior" of the Zumbiel warehouse by the roll-in rail door.  It's barely visible but better than seeing the backdrop.

Also printed the 2nd iteration of GK tower.  This is the rendering the actual prints are still drying/curing.  It's more of a 90's version sans the box-gutters and standing seam roof.
