wrap .019 gauge wire around a small screwdriver tip, or any tool like that to the desired contour, like a pen, the end of a pin-vise,etc. or, use whatever gauge you want to use. micro-mark has special pliers for bending wire into shapes. they have 4 or 5 different types of pliers sold separatley, or as a whole set. they can also bend piano wire too. i use guitar strings sometimes for modeling.

Jeff, my better half Dawn as you know works with beads, & she suggested a type
of pair of pliers she uses (haven't seen them yet-maybe similar to the Micro Mark mentioned
above) Now that I think about it-I have a few of those ladders laying around in my parts
drawers-should've taken them with me tonite to her place & let her play!  :P
I'll ask her again tomorrow-& maybe she can clear things up!
