Makes me want to drive out to Haines and get a steak at the Haines Steak House.
If anyone ever finds themselves in northeast Oregon driving I84, it's a quick detour off to get to Haines, about 15 miles north of Baker City on Route 30, and the place is worth the trip - both the food and the ambiance - great steaks and sides and salad bar. https://hainessteakhouse.com/  And the UP mainline is right across the street from its porch.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

I’ll have to remember that next time I’m up that way!

So, I’ve been playing around with another method of modeling Sage brush. I think it’s much better than my first attempt. Pictures show the materials used, I just broke up the super turf, dipped it in some white glue, then rolled it in the super leaf material. Feedback is welcome!

Here’s an example of the prototype look I’m going for. Photo credit to Railfan Dan on YouTube.

I am happy to have barely contributed to your awesome work here with my "doo it" ;)

Seriously, this is gorgeous.

Sometimes that’s all it takes, Ed. Thanks!

Everything else on your scenery is so realistically shaded, that sagebrush stands out like a sore thumb for the tint. Too bright a green, IMHO. I doesn't look to match the colors in the proto photo.

How big is your layout? Any towns or switching locations, or is it all mainline running?
