I'm working on a NSC 5150 boxcar. GTW purchased 150 in 1979, GTW 309550-309699. These cars have a 6' and a 10 sliding door as compared to the plug door version Atlas sells. It's a three piece design to make painting easier. The top end rib hides the joint with the roof section. There are a few more details to be added like tack board on the doors and ends. I hope to have a couple of these painted and running for Altoona next weekend. I'm planning to use this basic design to make the CNIS 5277 boxcar with vents on the side and rectangular ribs next to the door. Stay tuned. (Similar to, but not the same as, the Atlas car.)
Nothing too groundbreaking for me. Just working on another C415 for one of my fellow club members. (Attachment Link)
Where can we buy these?
