So Bachmann is doing a GP9 to go with their GP7 (both copies of Atlas models)
Re-Releasing the 50 year old 0-6-0 with a leading truck.. (but it has DCC now)
And A copy of one of Bluford's transfer cabooses..

They don't have prices listed, but I'll assume MSRP will be competitor x2

No, it sounds like a re-release of their Alco 2-6-0.  It’s a totally different model.

WAY better than their 0-6-0.

The original release was DCC equipped, and is a sweet little runner.  And although they’re now releasing it DC only (but with a socket) it will be simple to add a WAY better decoder than the original ones had.

Athearn plans to do more roads on the UP CA-11.

Broadway is open to doing the F9.

N Scale Bachmann Airos eventually. They announced the Cascades set in HO.

Kato will do the Airos when they become more common.

Tangent’s N Scale car is still coming, may be out this year or next year. Sounded like it could be a coal car. 

Atlas is doing new trucks on the big Alco centuries. The rep wasn’t sure if they had the FA-2 tooling or not, but if they did we could see the same upgrades the FA-1 got. They liked my suggestion of scaling down the AAR 70 Tonner to N Scale and having it be the same quality as the PS3. Things with Micro Trains are going better than expected. They will be bringing back the 8 car runner packs.

Scaletrains is working on bringing back the Exact Rail Autoflood II (one of their most requested cars), and they plan to make improvements regarding the performance issues they had. The RD-6 was going to drop this weekend but it’s been delayed at the factory until Trainfest.

Loads of Atlas Conrail “patch” locos announced. Perfect for my modeling. I am torn. Do I give Atlas yet another chance? They can only go up, so maybe so.

The new Lionel catalog dropped. It’s safe to say that one company announced more interesting things than rest of the industry put together.

How is it that Lionel can put out over a half dozen of the America 250 celebratory locomotives along with a fleet of 1970-80’s diesels in one catalog yet no high-quality N-scale mfg has announced any 250’s?

EDIT: I forgot about the handful of KATO and ScaleTrains units.

It’s really two questions:
1) are there really that many more 3rail scale modelers than N?
2) what has Lionel figured out that allows them to move faster on a larger number of simultaneous timely models  than any other mfg?

Kato announced a few 250s weeks ago.

Thank you. I edited my note. Lionel is still doing more 250’s than the rest of the high-end N scale market, but there are 4 units I had forgotten.

So the real Airos are a return to articulated trains? Didn't that get proved wrong in the 1930's?
