Excellent pic this week, those were fun units for the trackside observer, and I have to believe that CP got their money's worth from the C-424's.

Of note, CP 4210 lead the last solid MLW's powered road freight run on CP, a #923 from St Luc to Windsor on June 20th, 1998. They (in order 4210, 1838, 1837, 4216, 4230) were ordered out of Smiths Falls at 0900, but got out late (after 1300) due to power problems (surprise). They were split up at Windsor and returned to St Luc trailing SD40's... some of the MLW's were still running on the return trip. It was an unofficial railfan special set up by LBC, much to the disappointment of the crews.
