Who made this crossing tower kit?

Going through some old stuff I came across this.

I'm trying to figure out where it came from. I know it was a plastic kit that I probably bought at least 20 years ago at a show from Big City Hobbies (I think).

I think it's an NJ International kit.  I have a couple stashed somewhere unbuilt.

Walthers maybe? not an exact match but very close (Artwork is probably HO from the 80s fwiw, n scale tooling might be closer to yours)

I can't find the roof but that's what it looked like.

Looks familiar, mine is brass.  @chicken45 gave it to me some time ago.  Mine does not have clapboard siding tho.

I am thinking it's an old Heljan/Concor kit originally, then copied by Walthers later

All those different models are likely all based on the same prototype (likely an old photograph I recall seeing).
Also weren't some Walthers kits actually produced by Heljan (like Con-Cor kits were)?

If you bought it from Big City, it would probably be the IHC version of that prototype.

Rarely offered for sale these days, yes, Broadway Limited Imports formerly offered four factory assembled brass N-Scale Elevated Switch Tower models.

Stock Number 163 (factory painted white with gray trim)
Stock Number 164 (factory painted beige with maroon trim)
Stock Number 165 (factory painted white with olive green trim)
Stock Number 167 (unpainted brass).
