Loksound5 in Kato FEF3 - Problems with Back EMF

I'm trying to improve the running performance of my Kato FEF3. It's equipped with a Loksound5 micro DCC.

Neither Auto-Tune with CV54 nor ESU's settings for "Coreless Motor with Small Diameter" result in good running performance. It runs erratically, especially at medium speeds.
I achieved the best improvement by adjusting CV117.
Does anyone have an FEF with Loksound5 and can share their settings with me as a starting point?
Here are my values:
CV53 51
CV54 25
CV55 30
CV52 4
CV51 20
CV56 255
CV116 50
CV117 140
CV118 10
CV119 15

I have problem with that loco too but I didn't  spend too much time on trying to get it to run smoother. I'll have to revisit that project in the future.  I seem to recall that someone here (maybe @Dwight in Toronto ) got his to run better.

I recall also having frustration with this loco and adjusting mine based on a TRW post, perhaps indeed it was Dwight. It runs well enough now, so whatever it was seems to have worked.
@Hazuki many of my CVs are the same as yours, and here's where mine differ;
CV52 = 3
CV117 = 150
CV118 = 15
CV119 = 20

I do not have an FEF3, so no experience with that.

However, I did have a build thread where I put a coreless motor from Tramfabriek into a Dapol 0-6-0 Terrier, where all the motor parameters had to be tweaked.  Jim Starbuck shared some starting points, and I reported on the final settings that did the trick.

Here’s the link; hope it helps out:
