I do not need a sound equipped RS1, but I am very glad to see them updated! Also interested to see the insides of the SW9s.

Oddly, I DO need a sound equipped RS1. Excellent.

I also need some of the sound equipped SWs. Not that I don't like my BLI ones, but because those ALSO underpin the Micro-Trains SW1500s. And my 1500s DEFINITELY seem naked without sound.

I just want to see Atlas ditch the body mounted electrical pickups that Life Like used in the SW's. Yuck!

Seeing the trend of wired trucks in the more recent Atlas sound-decoder-equipped models using revised chassis, there could be a possibility you might get your wish.

Here are some prototype photos of RJ Corman F-150 pickups similar to the Atlas model.





The second one appears to be a little bit overloaded.

Also is it just me or is there some Micro Trains influence in this Catalog?

Which made me think Atlas owns all the parts to crank out sw1500s  :o

With a sticker shock price compared to the originals. I think I bought all my Life Like ones (DC only) for $20 bucks.

Good to see them still being made though. Are they being made in China or Vietnam?

I'm really excited about the RS-1s with sound. Here's hoping the old shells will swap easily onto the new mechanism. And also excited for the Soo bandits. Woooo!

Please yes! I mean no! Err yes! I'd go broke with sound equipped SP SW1500s.. I keep hoping that Atlas would do a correct SP MP15DC. I know they arent the same length, but MTL did do the SP tooling.

This catalog has me going broke anyways with the MTTX and PTTX F89J flats & SP Greenville Hoppers.
