I think this is the right place to post this ???
Well my old PC with window 8/10 crapped out awhile ago that had been hooked up to my sprog II programmer. I am now trying to use the sprog to program locos for my new layout. I switched to Mac products now for about 9 years. So I decided to try and run JMRI on. my Mac laptop. I downloaded java 11 and then JMRI. things look ok until I try and find a port number. I have 2 usb3 ports on my laptop and when I plug in my sprog II it does show up , but no port number identifier. From decoder pro's drop down list there are 8 possible choices. I have tried each one and can not get the sprog to turn on the track programmer. Can Any of you Mac people out there with experience connecting the sprog reach out. I actually bought a new windows 11 PC 2 days ago and got the needed down loads but, to navigate to the port number was crazy, couldn't get the usb port to recognize the connection and so much bloatware, that I uninstalled everything and returned it. I was good with windows XP and then switched to Mac, so I really hate the windows feel now. Just my personal 2 cents but Im no Einstein on Macs either
