Micro-Trains January 2026(!) releases

Micro-Trains has released two boxcars for January 2026! ... even though there is no Micro-News issue and no postings on the website.

#024.44.610  ex-Reading Conrail restencil (CR Family Tree #5), $30.95 MSRP.
#025.44.446  ex-Railbox Santa Fe restencil (Railbos Repatch Series), $30.95 MSRP.

TroveStar has pics.  Apparently some retailers are advertising them as well, but nothing definitive.

Oh man... The Dave of pre-2017 would be all over this.

No more Conrail for me, but I do plan to have a 1960s-era PRR consist at some point.

No, it is a company service car.  Five digit road numbers on Conrail are for company service only.  Thanks.

Both are listed on the website, with only the ex-Reading car showing in stock. This car also has the wrong image. The ATSF car shows the correct image, but is listed as a contact dealer.

To add on to that, CR 60833 spent its whole time on Conrail from 1976 to 1993 along with another Reading 40' Boxcar at Lebanon, PA for material storage. It never moved under Conrail ownership until purchased and shipped to Northeast PA.  It still survives in private ownership on property in Mt. Bethel, PA

A few of these got gray MOW paint and seemed to be attached to the camp car trains...
