@Ed Kapuscinski

This kind of thing makes me really want to go back to doing the 1980 Conrail thing again. But no...I have to be strong!

Bro. You're a T-TRAKer now. Your trains don't HAVE to always match your modules.

I have a Metra F40PH and cab car. The only reason folks haven't seen them is that I need more coaches to make it look right.

Good point Pete.

drifting along, I am wondering what Micro-trains by Atlas releases are going to look like. Should be interesting.

I'm hoping "staple cars in multiple numbers over multiple years".

Maybe re-runs of their awesome IPD cars on Atlas's accurate carbodies?

Honestly, I'm actually kinda excited about many of the prospects.

Looks like the last preorders shipping are the windmill trainset (89' flats and bulkheads) along with the final CSX caboose preorder. The two January weathered cars mentioned are shipping now, mine should arrive next week.

So is Atlas continuing production at the facility in the near term?

Had a few minutes between snowplowing today to grab a couple shots of these since official MTL photos were not posted. Sorry for the quick cell photo shots.

What a way to go out! The ex RDG car may be one of my favorite weathered editions.

Something interesting: I ordered a few of the close-out runner sets MTL was selling and when I got them there was a surprise packed in along with them: a weathered 3 bay hopper car NIB, with a little sticker on it saying "Thanks for your order." It apparently was a single from another 4-car runner pack.

Those little “freebies” were one of the charming things I will miss about M-T, just one of many things I enjoyed about the company. I think this was overlooked in the discussion after the Atlas announcement - there were things about M-T that brought joy beyond the product. It’s an emotional loss.
