I have a booth at the show this year, first time ever either exhibiting or attending for me.

Come by and say hi!

BLC, 55 E/F. (Basically but not exactly where MTL was in previous years for reference)

If you have the time, I know there will be plenty of Npossible couplers on the Free-MoN layout. Bunch of us have been converting

Unfortunately I'm going to have to miss the show for the first time in 45 years, triple bypass will do that to you.
Enjoy the show everyone, like the Red Sox there's always next year.

From an email I received from Atlas:

Atlas will be attending the fabulous Model Railroad Hobby Show this weekend, January 24th & 25th, 2026. The show is being held at The Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds on 1305 Memorial Avenue,
West Springfield MA.

We'll be located at booth 132 in the Mallory Hall and the Atlas staff will have loads of new products to show off, as well as some new catalogs for you to snag. Come stop by and stay awhile and get the scoop on the latest and greatest from the world of Atlas!

ESM has canceled our exhibition tables due to the extreme weather beginning Sunday. I’ll be attending as a consumer on Saturday but then heading back home Saturday evening.

Wonder how many others are going to cancel, I already paid for the rental and such, so figured I'm still coming, just planning on being cold.

I'll miss chatting with you Bryan, but I can only imagine that driving back home on Mass Pike in a snow storm will not be fun at all.  Like Ike, I committed myself to attending the show (and have 12 feet of NTRAK modules in the layout). It would be nice if they ended the show early on Sunday, but I doubt that they'll do that.

If you don't have to (try to) get home Sunday night - and the extra expense is acceptable - perhaps consider extending your stay in the Springfield area until Monday, if not Tuesday.

Actually I just made the decision to attend, but leave on Saturday night. This means I will not be participating in the NTRAK layout, so I'm giving the layout coordinator a bit of a headache. If the storm begun in the late afternoon,  I would have stayed over Sunday, but the weather reports seem to be moving the timeline earlier and earlier on Sunday. Even if I stayed the extra day, the storm is not supposed to wind down until late on Monday, so the real cleanup will not happen until then.

Well maybe next year, got the dreaded canceling the in person portion of the work trip, so I canceled the whole thing.

Is it just me, or does this weekend always seem to get dumped on for snow each year? I'll be here watching and waiting to see what gets announced.

My wife and daughter noticed storms very close to this weekend in 96, 06, 16 and now 26.  But I think last couple years its been fairly tranquil

The last time a snowstorm of any magnitude hit the show was maybe 5 to 10 years ago. Might have been the aforementioned 2016 show. It was a ghost town on Sunday and was a nightmare to get home, and then had to dig out once there. And that storm wasn’t anywhere near what is being forecast this time.

I’m up here now at the hotel, got here about an hour ago. Going to get up early, get breakfast at Memo’s as usual and then head over to the venue. I pre-purchased the tix and parking online so hopefully that minimizes the wait in what will be frigid temps.

Bowser says on FB:
"Good morning all! We have THREE new announcements for this years Amherst Railroad Hobby Show! Unfortunately due to the weather forecast, the R&D team will not be in attendance. However, Mr. Lee English himself will be running the booth and available to answer questions."

One of the announcements is an HO EMD SW1: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=60617.0
