One of my all time favorite shots from my days working in Highlandtown in Baltimore.  This was around 1986. 



I was working for the local neighborhood newspaper and had the run of the place with black and white film.  The GP30s were being picked off in groups for CSX's slug program, so getting a match pair was quite a find.  I'm pretty sure the trainmaster at Bayview had a soft spot for such opportunities.  I recall seeing old paint B&O and WM leaders on more than a few trains, especially the locals and transfers like this job at Penn Mary.  Good times.

I think the whole railroad was enamored with the GP30s, and it may have been their preferred company image circa 1970. I vividly recall B&O promotional material including a calendar hanging in the agent's office at the local SP station featuring the 30s.

I remember them as hump power in Connellsville (among other things) and occasionally as leaders on road trains.  To your point about promotional use, here's an old logo from a Trailer Service truck featuring one.

The Castlegar-Nelson wayfreight gets ready to leave Castlegar in June of this year. SD30C, 2x SD40-2, and a GP22C on the rear. This was taken as the train was stationary in the wye of Castlegar yard, directly on the left is the old CPR Station that has been converted to a Museum.

The new Midland Station project is coming to the final few months of construction, and due to working this weekend, I had the drone out to capture CBH121 and AC4306 heading back out to the Wheatbelt with an empty grain train on the standard gauge. CBH is the main grain co-operative in Western Australia, and Aurizon provide crewing and operations management for the CBH rail fleet, as well as supplementing with their own motive power and wagons when required. The freight lines (top two) are dual gauge out through the Avon Valley to Northam, whilst the lower two lines are the new narrow gauge PTA (Public Transport Authority) passenger lines from the new Midland Station to the Bellevue Depot just to the east. These will become the Bellevue extension when that station is built in the future.

The large buildings behind the train in the second image are the remains of the old Midland Railway Workshops, one of the largest employers in the state for a long time, and the home of the Western Australian Government Railways rolling stock heavy maintenance and construction operations.

B&P 2177 leads a train through Reynoldsville PA on its way to Brookville.  Movements on this former PRR line are extremely rare these days.
