The screened in area near the engine compartment on that Charger looks pretty cool. Looks like a veranda for the crew to take a smoke break. Pretty sure in reality though it's to help ensure airflow and help cool down the engine compartment while it's running.

I would definitely do that.  I was in Baltimore when the earthquake happened.

What earthquake?

August 23, 2011.

Oh yea.  It wasn’t much here in Baltimore IIRC.

I was there for a VA training conference.

They freaked out. Screwed up my leave for afterwards. It was a mess.

I was in my ReStore warehouse on the Eastern Shore when it rolled through.  We got a pretty good rattle over there...  I thought maybe someone drove into the side of my building.  Meanwhile at home on the layout, the destruction was nearly complete...

I had a shelf above the layout that displayed some large scale die cast autos, and these gas pumps fell down onto the paper mill.  Fortunately they missed hitting anything important!

Just a bit of a rumble. Just enough to notice.

The big problem was that it was a national training conference. A lot of travel was interrupted for a few days. Airport issues for a day or two.  Presenters and trainers stranded or no shows.

All these staffer/admin folks were thinking that “Something must be done.” They wanted to try to salvage it because they had spent a lot of money.

This was not long after the GSA got busted for spending outrageous amounts of money. They didn’t want to get jammed up.

They just screwed up everything and made it worse.

Got to take my kiddos out to do some railfanning this weekend at Cajon Pass.  Beautiful weather and everyone enjoyed!

Santa Fe all the way!

Come down to Baltimore too. I'll show you where the civil war started AND the awesome BBQ eatery with a strip club in its parking lot.

Chapps is so overrated. Take him to Cruisers or Pioneer instead.
