Free billboard image - Bunny Bread

I just posted a Bunny Bread billboard image in the Gallery. I saw this image on an old steel sign posted on the internet, downloaded it and cleaned it up in a fit of OCD. It should print reasonably well for a billboard and even better for signage-size. Message me with your email addie if you want a clean image, as I don't know if the Railwire watermark will show up on a download.


I'd post the image here but the links aren't working. From what I learned, Bunny Bread is a southern Illinois company, which grew to have larger distribution. I think the image will fit in the later 50s and onward.

Thank you Bryan! I'm from southern Indiana and still eat Bunny Bread just about everyday. It's now owned by Lewis Bakeries. Those billboards and the " That's What I Said Bunny Bread" were seen in a lot of places and is still on the delivery trucks passing through the area. I will enjoy having that on my layout.

We had Bunny Bread in Louisiana and Arkansas when I was growing up. I remember seeing the bread trucks.

There is still a Bunny Bread bakery store in Alexandria, LA.

Bunny Bread is THE bread in the New Orleans area.    Several of my good friends are from the area and they bring back large quantities when they return to the DFW area for fellow aficionados of the brand.

The Franz Bakery in Oregon, where I live, uses something similar to these and, when I lived in Baltimore, H&S used them too.


CMW used to make IH Metro vans, for an earlier option, and GHQ made a mini Metro van.

Love the old billboard posters and ghost signs, even if I don't use the actual products.
Should work well with Evans designs Model Builder.

I'm working on a bunch of farm implement signs. This image was a good learning experience using Gimp. In looking at it a week past I see I could fix the upper loop of the E in Everybody, which had a massive discoloration through it on the original image.
