I would love to model all of this, but it's kind of impossible at the present; only a 16" by 44.5" will have to suffice.

Takeaway: you either want a GP8 or 10 or a B23-7. Atlas's recent release of those is really nice.

I think I can do the crossing by expanding from 44.5 to 48 inches.

So I have added a few inches to the layout, from 44 to 48 inches, and I am able to do the diamonds (crossing), the signal, 236th St., and yard clutter with equipment boxes and radio tower. Order coming from @HobbyLink. Ok, I broke down and spent a few bucks.

I found the boat...Harris 3D, who was at Altoona...It will be ordered.

I am waiting for a few items to arrive to continue the initial track-laying process. Thanks to a fellow Railwire member for donating some turnouts and a Conrail GP-40. Hobbylink order is on its way with the 90's crossing and some flex track.

Starting to work on the basic mowed lawn along the right of way. Used what I had WS fine green grass, yellow grass, and soil. I will use the 1mm that's coming for the grass edges along the tree line. Thanks to
@jpwisc for the suggestion for mowed lawns. Some airbrushing with more color will help and thin out some areas per the proto pics.
