Spookshow to me mean N scale. Plastic models of multi-engine locos like a Big Boy or T1 have both engines permanently coupled together through a common single motor, so there is no way for having wheel slip on one of the engines. Even N scale brass models I have ever looked at had single-motor design.
Kato Big Boy is an exception where each engine is a separate mechanical unit with its own motor, so there is a possibility of simulating this type of slippage. Not sure how traction tires on the drivers of both engines without affects the slippage. You might see the engine hopping.
