You can also buy heavy duty aluminum crafter's foil.  It's 0.07mm thick (about 0.0028") which is 2-3X thicker than heavy duty aluminum foil.  You can find it on Amazon.

That would also my recommendation.  Aluminum foil results in most realistic (thinnest) pipe.  Drinking straw would also be acceptable. Heat shrink tubing? IMO, too thick.  There are also bendy straws, but those corrugations are too coarse.

Also remember that the corrugations have a side effects of making the pipe stronger (that is why they are corrugated in 1:1 scale).
