My guess is a retooling of their PAs to go along with the E and F units they recently did.

Curtis said GM&O and The ('47) Freedom Train would be in the next run, but no timeline last year at STL RPM...

BTW, today was the deadline to pre-order the sharks, for delivery a year from now.

It'll be a GG1 with a generator car.

NEW N SCALE PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Good morning! We at BLI are excited to bring some new GE ES44AC's back for another production run in N scale!

For this run, we’re especially thrilled to introduce several new paint schemes to N scale that we’ve never offered before. These include additional CSX Heritage Units, BNSF’s 25th Anniversary Units, Union Pacific’s “5,000th GEVO” unit, and several other eye-catching liveries that are sure to stand out on your railroad.

All models will be available to purchase with our Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC system, or in our Stealth/DC/DCC-Ready line. Each model boasts road-specific details and individually controllable lights.

Ok, I got taken by this - I stupidly thought this was going to be a new diesel announcement (not a rerun of an existing model).  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I do kinda feel like that sort of advertising is misleading and disingenuous. BLI's not the only company guilty of that either.

I want my Pennsy B6sb and H10sb in N scale, dammit! And an I1sa too!

Yeah, phrased the way it was was very misleading. "New N scale Diesel Model Announcement..." Well, right off the bat, it's not a new model, it's a reissue.

But, heck, we're talking here about the home of train-sound sneakers, so we shouldn't be surprised.   :RUEffinKiddingMe:

In fairness, it’s a new announcement, just not a new model.

Nice, one supposes, if one is at all interested. Which I am not.

This ambiguous announcement along with the "2lb junk-parts box" debacle just further confirms to me what kind of company BLI is.

I think I just saw an all new ad from BLI for the newly created position of  "Image Mitigation Technician" on Face Book.

Ah well... prototype is 5 decades too new for my planned layout... so...  would have been more pleased with an FM switcher or even just another run of F units.

The Erie E8s will be here in the fall, so I'll have something to play with over the winter...

In fairness, it’s a new announcement, just not a new model.

Nice, one supposes, if one is at all interested. Which I am not.

To quote from the email: "New N scale Diesel Model Announcement Coming This Thursday"  (they corrected to Friday at the bottom of the page- lack of proofreading- a common foible of internet publishing)

Apparently, we were supposed to read that as "New (N scale diesel model) Announcement"-  this sort of wordplay only lessens the credibility of a company, regardless of what gets taught in some marketing classes. Yes, it got us all to pay attention to the current announcement.  But, its the announcement of new paint jobs, not the announcement of a new model.  Not a good follow-on to their 'grab bag' fiasco.
Tom D.

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

Well, I hope it sells well for them and that they can pour some of that profit into an actual new model for us.
