I started building the new bigger version of Security/Holcim Cement

Ron:  If you don't mind my asking, how much do you charge to rebuild one of those Little Joes?  I have two that need the trucks "fixed", so I don't know how well they run.  On the other hand, I only have about 15 feet of MILW track, so no real need for a Little Joe!  It would be nice to have them runnable, though.

True - if needed -- at the minimum it probably needs a red beacon on top

I'm not a pilot, nor expert here but I think that is dependent on FAA requirements - not all towers would need to be painted unless they are deemed a hazard.  I found https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_70_7460-1L_-_Obstuction_Marking_and_Lighting_-_Change_2.pdf

As far as Chuck's tower - this is a funny story - sort of .

When he first posted that he was looking for a BLMA kit - I looked around and found a file on thingiverse that was very similar -- I scaled it down some and printed a set of sections (that you see in his pix) -- being cheap, I packaged these in between some foam board, put into an envelope and mailed them off to Chuck .. the PO didn't deliver because they wanted another $4 for an envelope that weighted about 7 oz ..  Chuck had to trek to the post office, pay the extra postage, only to find the PO had crushed the tower parts ..

Feeling bad - I printed him some more sections, added some odds and ends detail parts, ( including the 20' container office that I posted online a while ago which someone is selling on Walthers for over $15 )  .. this time in a box  with no postage due ..

It does, but I believe its 7 bands up to 700' and then 2 additional for every 200'. The FAA has the book, which can be found online. The Flash one you posted is more for the lights than the color bands

This is a small building and doesn’t need much room on the layout Painting the interior can be ‘fun’ but one doesn’t have to do it if the roof isn’t going to be removed.

UP yard here in Yuma, near the airport and MCAS Yuma, was gray and about the same height. Went
with this:

That looks good chuck.  Stick with it.

I like the gray. Still very visually interesting but not overpowering like when in red and white. it accents the overall scene now rather than being the main focus. Plus, the webbing looks less thick now too (or is this a different tower?).
