Modern N scale is an embarrassment of riches, while I suffer an embarrassment of poverty.

So basically the only meaningful announcement was Scale Trains? (And Jackson Railcar as a new manufacturer).

I've given up on any new steam or transition era equipment being announced anymore. Going forward I expect BLI to do some Pennsy and major excursion steam, but that's it.

My wallet is going to die a veryrrry slow and painful death.
I just hope my current FVM will look somewhat reasonable next to them  :|

I do keep an eye out for Bluford hopper and gondola announcements- although for the moment those will probably just be new paint schemes. And the occasional building from the small companies offering 3D printed structures.  But otherwise...

The upside is, the train budget can be re-directed to saving up for a new pickup truck and new windows for the house.

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

Possible explanation:

I know of at least one manufacturer who is waiting to see how the tariff situation plays out.

Paul Graf from Atlas announced they'll have a new catalog out sometime in the next 2 weeks, likely after their summer break, with new announcements.

Atlas was showing off modern hooded signals which are new. Another Z scale car is in the works supposedly but no more detail was given. Lots of reruns, including 3 and 5 unit spine cars.  A new tool 53ft trailer as I recall too.

Kato announced a M-497. It’s a full tool standard release not a Kobo custom like they did in the past. They had a 3D prototype on display.

I showed off new quick conversion adapters for MTL truck mounts, and a new style box for locomotive conversions, including Kato specific version. These will follow shortly after my initial product line release.

Still waiting for the announcement of a C&O H-8 Allegheny. Or the T-1 (C'mon BLI).

Atlas -  A new tool 53ft trailer as I recall too.

Ok, now I'm interested.....

Hopefully it's different than the Trainworx options and is either a 53' fluted side style reefer (Utility, Great Dane etc) or something like the Wabash National HD Duraplate (the later style with the bottom reinforced panel - not that the existing, earlier Deluxe model is a viable competitor anymore...).

Thanks! Good to hear on the Atlas signals and spine cars.

I'd love to hear the justification for that.

Sound logic - makes sense.
