In some positive news, I just received my shipment of two Atlas N scale Dash 8-40C standard cabs.

These are the latest release with ditch lights, and I thought I would share a couple of quick phone pics to show that these have been tooled correctly.

The Norfolk Southern has both front and rear porch-mounted ditch lights that are brightly lit (directional in DC mode).

The Union Pacific has front pilot mounted ditch lights. These are rendered a bit flat in terms of relief, but once lit they look okay. Atlas has also slightly improved on the decoration with this release — with the grills painted black on the UP.

Anyway, after the GP60 ditch light debacle (https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=49164.75) I was relieved to see that these tooling improvements are accurate :)

Cheers
