Should be. Can you do "Grain & Feed" as well?

Thanks, that should work. It will be small in 2 lines under this center bracket

Those brackets are 3D. The steps are 3D. And I just printed a corrugated sandwich to make roofing out of foil.  :P

Looks good Chris!  All in 3D, including corrugating the roofing material!   :D

Well it turns out 1:160 corrugated metal is so fine it's useless. I can just size it up a little, but the regular foil is very thin. Might need to find something else. The problem is that people who sell this stuff do not use N scale in their product photos.

Couldn't you just design and print the roof with the corrugations built-in?

That would seem to be easier than making corrugated foil.  One already has the pattern in the tool, just put that on the surface of the roof.

By the time it's weathered it isn't going to look like kitchen foil anyway.

I need to take up crochet.

Chris, what is your radii on the curves?

Will you add a spur at the sawmill?

The curves are 5"R, no siding, too much already in this small space.

Doing the corrugated roof whole in 3D is a lot harder than you'd think. It is more like sculpting than drawing. I would need to size each panel to 4x8 or whatever size it is. Then offset each section just a hair. Then overlap each section. Do it all for the next row. Set that row on top of the last. Then print each side separate so I don't get step lines in the print. Now I need to join them at the ridge and probably need some foil to drape over it.

I just ordered some from Builders In Scale. Couldn't find it anywhere so I ordered direct.

I just ordered some from Builders In Scale.
The good $hit.

It's the best made for N scale

Current state of affairs

The water tank will be this: https://merritt3d.com/etwnc-water-tank/
I have the drawings for that tank, but was thinking it would take me at least 3 hours to draw it. And $35 bucks was worth 3 hours to me. Thing is I ordered it on April 10th and he still hasn't printed it yet...  :|

That guy in the model-T sure gets around

I was with you on the Blender thing... folks metioned it for textures but I didn't want to learn another package.

Then the digital tree workflow happened and I jumped in.  Now I'm less confused on what Blender is.

The workflow would be, I think:

1) Design the building in SketchUp as you've done.
2) Export to .STL that you do anyway
3) Load up in Blender
4) Apply the texture map to the walls or surfaces you want to be textured
5) Re-export .STL
6) Print

Looking forward to the texture pack noted up thread.

Sadly it's a bit more complex than that. That's why I created the 3d walls with the texture already mapped. It's easer to assemble already created walls inside a 3d program than to unwrap a model and apply the texture to the proper places. Unwrapping complex shapes can get gnarly in Blender.

Here are some Bild-mats samples. I will also make Bildr-parts which will be windows doors etc. They're basically 3d scatch building supplies

Try them out in your projects and let me know how they work. You'd be beta testing more or less.
@Chris333 this is the same method I made the rock wall for your roundhouse stone building. I am happy to make a new thread as well so we don't take away from Chri's excellent work.
