I remember a Kickstarter for a printer that sat on top of an iPhone.

I recall that iPhone hack. I think I may have bought into it, too. I do know I never heard a thing after kicking-in.

Agreed about the DLP units. I have a D2, and what it can do is spectacular. I swear it can hold 0.005" walls, or nearly so. My original Photon is now languishing in its box in my attic.

Near finished main components, the floor (printed on the mono) is literally a light presses into the main shell. On to the fiddly bits!

The upper parts have light fits that rival an injection molded model car. Customer is quite happy with the images so far.

Any possibility of trying some brick?

I can whip up a small panel of scale brick, and I also have a cut stone design I should try anyway.

I’ve done brick, close to scale. This is 125% of scale if I remember correctly. Comes out perfectly no matter how ornate.

That looks suspiciously like an NKP 1000-series caboose.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

This machine continues to amaze me.

Here is a my interpretation Farquhar trough belt loader, modeled after the first image. I’m still designing the wheel structure/frame.

Here is the good and bad side of the print, both usable, along with a bent sheet brass inlet chute, and a dump chute. They will be pretty beat up anyway, and one will be located over the new barge.

I like the droop of the belt.

I like the droop of the belt.

I had to devise a plausible drive concept (long pulley cover) and so the belt goes through an S behind that so the droop looked functional.

That's an interesting cabinet.  Did you build it yourself?

Yes John, before these I had the Mono X and the wash and cure on the bottom. I removed the center shelf to use the bottom, and raised the slides up to have room to fit both D2’s. I moved the curing station under my computer desk in another room.
