I picked up one of these for my Kato Surfliner Cab Car, as it is advertised to be a substitute for the Kato FL-12 decoder. However, it appears to be set up differently from the FL-12 and it isn't clear which way it is supposed to be installed. I figure there are up to 3 different ways it could be installed incorrectly, which I'm guessing would result in instant decoder death. Honestly, the pads are so different from the FL-12 that I'm not sure this can even be used. Anyone install one of these in a Kato car before?
