If you've been following along, I've been "putting the band back together" in anticipation of a PRR Juniata Division v2.0. Right now I have multiple unfinished modules, none of which are suitable for photography at the moment. Still, I wanted to show off this beautiful BLI PRR M1a from @Mike C that joined the roster yesterday. So, here's PRR 6743 leading a westbound fast freight at Aspen on the Colorado Midland, a scenario not unlike @eric220 's alternate universe where a Pennsy transcon crosses the Colorado Rockies.

I've always preferred the pre-war configuration of Pennsy steam locomotives, before the so-called "facelift" that swapped the positions of the steam dynamo and the headlight on most steam engines. But because I was trying to be true to July of 1956 on my previous layout, I had to suck up the post-war steam look. I've decided now that anything from the late 30s to the end of steam is now fair game for me, so yeah. You'll see pre-war K4s and F-units together and I refuse to apologize!  :D

A second productive week on the layout for me with another four turnouts repaired and returned to service.  It is actually the throw wires, servos or controllers rather than the turnouts themselves.

Chetwynd Yard ES 1 at south end:

Dawson Creek Yard Sid 3 at west end:

Dawson Creek Yard Sid 2 at east end:

and Septimus South Switch:

One more to go . . .

Just because the last layout was 1956 doesn't mean this one needs to be does it? Why not model the '30s if you prefer pre-war steam?

He also wrote "You'll see pre-war K4s and F-units together and I refuse to apologize!" so it appears that he wants to also run diesels alongside steam.

Right... Which is why I'm saying now late 30s to the end of steam is all fair game for me now.

A little while back, I found a late 1950s pic of a New Haven FA/FB four unit set. Three units were in the Dulmaine green/gold scheme. The first B unit however was the class unit 0450 in the as-delivered orange/green scheme with silver pinstripes – very dusty compared to the other three but otherwise sporting an intact scheme. The photo gave me a purpose for the orphaned second B unit in my former Life-Like consist. All have been upgraded to Atlas mechanisms with keep-alive, and a repainted bodyshell will put the unit back in regular service. The body was under new paint a couple of weeks ago, decals have been applied and are setting. Should have this on the rails sometime next weekend.

A little south of the PRR TransCon, but looking good!

It's on some of the other threads, working on patching, graffiti, and weathering.

To celebrate Conrail’s birthday this year, I repainted, decaled, and weathered this locomotive that’s been on my rainy day projects shelf. Also ballasted my Swan Creek loop and halfway finished a gas station for my Lake Shore Central.

I updated my printables page with the exact file I used to print the railbus. The file: 4_wheel_bus_Nn3 supported
https://www.printables.com/model/528966-nn3-railbus
Just load it, slice, and print.

An incredibly worthy project and outstanding result, Chris. I took my wife aside to show her the clip and closeup. "You're kidding!" "No. Look at the battery." "Amazing".

Thank you for sharing you efforts with the community in this way. I hope to contribute in a similar way sometime soon.
