Since MTL already has the tooling for a Boeing 737 fuselage, they might as well make the entire airplane, even as just a kit. Even if you don't have an airport/runway on your layout, I wouldn't mind buying a 1:160 737 kit and hanging it on the ceiling.
I’m really looking forward to the PC and PRR mow equipment. I may even preorder them.
Down with that. Pre-ordered and picked up some PRR and PC mow hoppers from Bowser this weekend. Now what power will the PC mow train have?
If tariffs last, an MTL locomotive line would be even more welcome.
The gnarliest thing you can find. Like a crusty RS3.
Except that with the previous locos from MTL only the shell was made by them in USA. The mechanism was still made in China.
True, but MTL should be able to make every part of a DC loco in-house, except the motor. Tariff on just a box of motors would be a lot less than on a box of locomotives.
Probably even a crusty RS3 was too valuable on the PC to relegate to MOW work if you could find something worse that moved sorta under its own power....Like a Baldwin! Why use a mu capable 1600 HP unit when you have 1200 HP of no mu plain bearing goodness on hand?https://i.redd.it/xerf64nrgn8a1.jpg
