Amongst other things, decided to go back and revisit some of my very first 3d models - the Sea-Land 35' container series - and see what would need to be done to improve them, intending to make them available as downloadable stl files.

I've added a chassis model: to-do there is to add pads as an option for the landing gear, as well as wheels, and make versions to reflect the various regional tandem settings.

Tank containers are new, both the earlier half-height with sides, based on the single poor ground-level image found in Janes and ads from the era as well as an overhead shot from a quarter mile away, and two twin barrel type based on a pair of photos from the late 70s or so (no dates that I've found thus far).

Standard dry containers have the 22 rib variety added.

Reefers have seen the sheet & post variety reworked slightly.

No changes to the flat rack.

Eventually I plan to do the rag-top version, but it's not high on the priority list at the moment.

Got inspired finally to pick up the NH County-series baggage-lounge cars this week after finalizing the 3D prints a year ago. Finished all exterior paint today, minus some touch-up and detailing work. Stirrups (modified GMM) and diaphragms (stock Rapido) installed tonight. Still a lot of work to do but at least it’s moving forward.

Are you selling models like this?
