ESU 53661 in Life-Like 0-8-0?

Hello! I recently acquired a second-run N scale Life-Like 0-8-0. I understand room in the tender for the decoder is somewhat cramped. Has anyone used the ESU 53661 in this loco? Toytrainheaven has some excellent deals on older ESU decoders in their DCC close-out sale (https://toytrainheaven.com/product-category/esu-close-out-sale/), including the 53661.

While I'm at it, does anyone know the difference between the 53661 and the 53661-02? The sale includes both.

That is a LokPilot V4 nano decoder.  Those are excellent decoders. Not sure what the -02 means. Maybe the different type of connector?
It is small (8mm x 7mm) so it should likely fit in the tender.
See https://www.esu.eu/en/products/former-products/lokpilot-nano-standard/ for details.

Also  thanks for the heads up - for that price I just ordered 10 of them.
