Does anyone know if a shell from a previous run of the NW-2 will fit neatly onto the new sound-equipped chassis? Or does the new decoder situation make that harder?

I haven't installed the ZIMO decoder in mine (from the original run) yet, but since the decoder is a direct-fit replacement for the Kato light board, and the speaker will be in the cab, I suspect that you should be able to swap the shells between the old and new chassis.

I made that swap, no problems.
