Also, the lighting looks way too bright, though maybe that's just an effect of the camera exposure. IMO Rapido has the most realistic brightness of any RTR passenger equipment. A lot of manufacturers with factory interior lighting make their cars look like there's a tanning salon inside.
As I mentioned in my post. the cars are very bright! The exposure in the photos looks just like it looks in person.
As a comparison, I set up lighted cars from various manufacturers. From left to right - Bachmann Venture, CCS coach, Kato Observation, and Rapido Horizon coach.
When the room lights are on, the Rapido Horizon is the dimmest and it's hard to even tell that the lights are on. Plus, there are several "dark areas" on the Horizon car.
With the room lights dimmed down, the Rapido Horizon looks very good and the dark spots are no longer apparent.
In all fairness, the windows on the Horizon car are not very high - so that may have affected how it looks.
In all cases, the Venture cars are very bright!
When I run lighted cars, I try to use cars from the same manufacturer so the cars all look about the same. (I may mix in CCS cars with Kato cars when the room lights are on since they have fairly close levels of illumination.)
