Very rusty and crusty! The salt air does wonders there...

Sorry haven't posted in a bit...but I am doing research as we speak.

Looking at the mountainside my rocks are too black...I'll be repainting more brown upon getting back to Alaska.

But I did start planting my fallow sugar cane field...the bad news being the two switches in front are acting up (of course right after scenic-ing!) and I am likely going to replace them so my canes might get harvest and replanted soon.

I just got back from there myself and all these scenes look great! Maybe a few turtles basking on the beach beach as well?

I know that beach with the turtles. I think I count 16 in that picture, I have a picture from the same spot with 9 or so.

I've been hunting for HO scale sea turtles. I have a couple snapping turtles from my previous layout that I have been looking at pretty hard lately, thinking they might evolve a little with help from a little styrene sheet an No.11 scalpel.  But I've located some 1/72 scale sea turtles from a Polish company-EMP3D.  Here's hoping they show up!
