Tim, great work on the MLW's, they're gorgeous.

Working on powering and controlling turnouts.  Using slide switches, a 3D printed switch holder and some piano wire.

Put a train on the rails after eight months to pose for the mostly completed Park Gate scene.

Slow on working on the scenery the past couple weeks. Been having more fun digging into my archives and running the good stuff!

Lee:  The mismatched concrete looks fine.  Who says both bridges were built at the same time, or using the same aggregate mix?  Most highway departments, especially in the 30s and 40s, didn't particularly care what color the concrete was, as long as the bridge didn't fall down.
I like that brown, tho. Looks like aged concrete w/ weathering.

The last few weeks have been crazy. Some modeling here and there which I’ll post about in my layout thread, but this weekend has been JFRTM. You can say what you want, but I love a BL2  :D

Also might be getting bit by the TTRAK bug

Spent the weekend at MARPM. Met a few Railwire folks including the enlightening Scott Wahl - excellent clinic on layout lighting effects. Missed the layout tours on Friday, but there were 22 area layouts open for visitors. Two guys who flew in from the Midwest logged 283 miles Friday visiting layouts. I think they hit 12 of the 22. And that in DMV traffic.

Couldn't win a single one of the N scale prizes in the raffle, but did score this beauty for a deal I couldn't refuse. Now I need a logging layout I guess. Compared to what I've seen the Atlas Shay's go for in auctions recently, I saved enough to pay someone to install a sound decoder in it.
