Well on my old layout I did elevate Unitrack and it worked fine. I think I used 1mm balsa wood on the outside of the track bed. Maybe two thirds of the last piece of track (30°) was not shimed. I just put glue under the free hanging track. That was my transition. I had never issues with my trains.

I think it's probably time to do some experimentation.

I would almost certainly need a non water soluble glue to hold the "twist" on the transition while I ballasted things.

They do, but I'm completely burned out on painting the concrete-tie track!

Totally understand!

1mm is around 0.040", so superelevating by 0.020" should not be a problem.  I wonder  if the pieces at the start and end of the curve could be twisted by hand to deform them slightly to form the transitions.  The plastic will likely bounce back to flat, but I wonder if the metal rails would deform and keep the plastic roadbed slightly twisted?

In the meantime...I got this really cool little table on Amazon (it telescopes from 23" to 46") for the DCC equipment so it's not struggling for a few inches of space on the banquet table. It folds down nice and small.

The missing corner module is in my workshop. It was the first one I ever built, so the track connection on one end wasn't great--would leave a bit of a gap--so I soaked the track and ballast with alcohol, relocated the track and checked both ends with a double track plate, and then re-ballasted everything. It's drying now with a fan.
