IR announced them a couple of years ago. Nice to see them coming to market.

Both prototypes built by Winnipeg companies! Might have to get a couple just for the home town representation.

Anyone knew where to buy these? They announced them in Springfield in 2022 or 2023. I haven't heard about them in a few years.

Daniel,

N Scale Supply (https://www.nscalesupply.com/icr/icr.html) and 3000TOYS (https://www.3000toys.com/shop/iconic-replicas/scale-1-160?qs=d) have pre-orders open.

However, I submitted a pre-order/special order at Lombard  Hobbies.

Midwest Model RR already stocks the HO scale Iconic Replicas buses, though I haven't seen any N scale buses on their preorder pages.

The Iconic Replica N scale intercity coaches and transit buses are out now!

Just ordered two buses from Awesome Diecast last night and they're already being shipped, so fulfillment is very fast. They seem to have the best prices for them too ($29.95 each).

Hopefully they'll be good sellers and encourage Iconic Replicas to come out with more vehicles in N scale.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ] Just got mine today. Ordered from Awesome Diecast last Tuesday. They are nice models. A bit glossy, but I expected that. Wonder how easy it will be to add passengers and lights.

I also got the blank yellow stripe one. I'll have to make some lettering decals for my town's transit agency (and change my bus stop signs to match the branding). Does it come with a bike rack on the front? Also, is there a headsign?

There is nothing else in the box for the transit bus, so no bike rack or headsign.  The Grayhound one has 4 different numbers you can add to the roof.

Thanks. Interesting, the Los Angeles Metro production sample that I posted a few weeks ago has a bike rack. The HO version has a bike rack.

Maybe it's only on certain prototype liveries? Guess I'll find out when it arrives on Friday.

Either way, I'm just excited that we finally have modern buses in N scale with doors on the right side. This is certainly a game-changer in terms of N scale vehicles.

Are the Boston yellow ones all sold out? I can't find these anywhere.

I just bought one at Awesome Diecast: https://www.awesomediecast.com/nfi-xcelsior-xn40-transit-bus-yellow-stripe-1-160-n-scale-diecast-model-bus-by-iconic-replicas/

It doesn't have any MBTA logo/lettering though, just the yellow/blue stripe. They're still in stock.

On the rear end there is www.mbta.com lettering and a readable "T" Massachusetts license plate.   :)

I wish someone offered a PD4107 Buffalo in N scale.

I got my samples today. The MBTA XN40 has no logos, much like the Rapido New Look. This is an easy fix as Microscale has appropriate decals available. Painting is good and the windows are tinted. Proportions are spot on, but molding is a bit thick. Construction borrows from Tomytec and Classic Metal Works. These are diecast models. The lower bathtub is zinc with a separate window section and roof in plastic. There is a black interior insert but rather basic. Painting the interior and adding lighting will go a long way.
