Probably in scrap service. A number of chipracks have wound up in that service, though I couldn't specifically find any examples of this particular car.

I cannot justify getting any of these as well, right era but they didn't make it up to Ontario in the 80's. Still, very cool car and a needed model for sure.

Does that mean we can load them up with Woodland Scenics ballast and it would be prototypical???

The build dates on the pictured car is 1980 but I have info that says cars of this or a similar type were running around in the mid 70s which is my time frame. So went ahead and signed up for some. Because 2nd runs of previously done names are not a bet I want to make. Something to look forward to.

These are resin 3D Prints. I think they've come in discussion a couple months ago.

I've ordered from them before, they are legit and located in Minnesota iirc.

Their products are unfinished 3d prints, slightly on the heavy side detail wise and would require some skill to make a working model.

That being said they makes some cool stuff, and are in no way competition to Trainworx's awesome models.

It appears these have released. N Scale Supply has them in stock for $30.36 or something like that and I've seen a few posted on eBay as well. Hope you have your wallets ready as I am sure these are going to sell like hotcakes.

Picked up three from the LHS. Very nice cars! Body mounted couplers, FVM metal wheels, and the load is nicely painted. Now to find some more....

Have you considered the age of the car in the photo of the prototype?
