An eastbound manifest is about to duck into the west portal of the Tennessee Pass tunnel in September of 1996. I’m starting to experiment with snapping iPhone photos of slides placed on an old 5000K fluorescent light box. Poor man’s scanner lol. This was just handheld of a Kodachrome slide. iPhone 13 Pro Max held about 2” from the slide, then cropped. No other adjustments. It isn’t perfect, obviously, but it’s an easy way to quickly share some images that haven’t seen the light of day for years.

My daughter was in Idaho Springs,  Colorado over the weekend, and sent me these pics of a static display there that celebrates the narrow gauge and ore mining heritage of the area.
