work is progressing on the Rocky Mountaineer Ultradomes.  Today the handrails went in.  I had planned to do the dome windows but I seemed to have misplaced them :(

Someone had suggested I do a build thread so I started one here.  Warning.... they are crude, but its been a fun build:

Leased D&RGW 462 is readied for a run from Rico to Ridgway on the RGS. Alliteration unintended.

I built the second warehouse for my lumberyard scene over the week; definitely the best I’ve done building a structure before, but there’s still some stuff I can improve on!

So here’s where the overall scene sits now; still to build will be a lumberyard storage rack to go along the back. I’m not digging how this second building sits in the scene; I feel like a wider and longer building would sit in the scene better. Nothing another Pikestuff kit can’t fix!

As some of you saw in another thread, I completed an EP-2 this week.

This one had the very challenging four bulb headlights.

Conrail N-11 caboose 18564 rolled out the paint shop today.

At least 18507, 18564, and 18469 were repainted with a small logo and had all of their windows covered.

Here' the prototype here: https://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/index.php/photos/cr-18564-class-n11e

Edited to add correct attachment.

If that is a subtle ask for opinions on a yard, tight, but doable with 3 tracks at most. But it would also inherit the modelrailroady, stub yard shoved in a corner trope.

Sorry I accidentally hit post and then my internet went out before I could finish editing it to add words. I just wanted to share.

I tore down my previous crummy layout for one actually designed with switches in mind. A nice boring outer loop for picky trains and a tight winding inner loop for fun trains, and a single crossover because it’s what I can afford. Also has a reverse loop (though I have to wire that still, right now if I ever engage it it just shorts out). Yes a small yard is going where the red squiggles are. I don’t care if it’s model railroady and tropey, I want maximum spaghetti. There’s probably gonna be another descrete highly elevated line above everything because I just want MORE

Wolf, What decoders are you using?
