Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share that my article on updating IM SD40T-2 Tunnel Motors has been published in the Jan issue of Railroad Model Craftsman for those who might be interested.

Thank you,

Don

I bought it. Great article! God knows if Scaletrains will ever release these in N scale  :(

I loved that article!!

I also really love seeing coverage of serious N scale modeling like this in RMC. They've got something good going there.

From one espee era modeler to what appears to be another
Awesome stuff!

Plus an xtra uptick for a previously undeserved set of downvotes

Why the down votes? Unless someone tried to upvote more than once  Very useful with techniques that can be used with any model.  T-2 great article. Thanks for sharing.

Why the down votes?

From a previous thread, not this one.

They haven't even gotten the regular SD40-2's out yet. They'll probably make them though, since it's just a long hood modification (I think) in N scale. Unless they do something crazy and make then see-through like they did in HO... that would be fantastic, but entirely un-realistic.

I'm sure if they ever do, they will knock it out of the park.

From a previous thread, not this one.

Oh, so ideology.  Not the content of the thread on actual modelling which is the point of this forum but rather his action on a forum topic.  I grew up in Massachusetts. Great school field trips.  Salem Mass was one.  Nice to see Puritanism hasn't gone out of style. Feel free to down vote.

EDIT.  I received a message from a TRW member.  Since it was a PM, I won't use his name.  He clarified the down vote issue extremely well.  It is posted below.

RE: Down votes.

All of the down votes were amassed on a completely different thread, some time back.
There hasn't been any case where people are down voting his current thread, in fact quite the contrary.

Don't take this as people remembering his previous thread and taking retribution at a later date as that just isn't happening.

Very nice model.  Unfortunately I can't do one of these because my era is circa 55-59.  :-(
