I’m guessing it will be announced officially in the July newsletter.

It was hidden inside the June newsletter...

If you know anyone at MTL, could you please mention to them that the Evans 4780 is a close match to a PRR H47 or H47A class of covered hopper (they should know this since they have released multiple PRR road numbers).  The preliminary artwork in the June newsletter showed an Evans 4780 painted as a class CL15A (CR 887366) covered hopper.  CL15A cars are Bethlehem Steel Car Company built clones of PS 4427 covered hoppers built for the Lehigh Valley.  They are only moderately similar to the Evans 4780 covered hoppers.  And Atlas’s did this road number (887366) on their ex Walthers PS 4427 model.  There are examples of painted out PRR H47’s online.  Or, if you have a contact, I can send some examples along with oxide red painted H47’s.  Thank you.

The problem with keeping true to modeling an H47 is the patch jobs don't weather down to the heritage paint schemes..

https://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/galleries/class-h47-and-h47a

Some of these schemes would be cool and right up MTL's wheelhouse, but for the LV car I'm thinking beggars can't be choosers.

It's not the most obscene foobie MTL has done..
