I had just finalized my layout plan that was near to scale for some locations in a 40' by 40' space and started bench work when we moved to a new house - slightly smaller with a finished basement.
With the limitations in size and rooms, I had all but abandoned my old plans and drawings with no hope for anything close to prototypical.
After reading the article, I sat down with the drawings and focused on 2 locations that I 'FOR SURE' wanted to model (if I could).
After about a day of drawing, I got them both to fit (barely) within the limits of the new space.
They aren't 'to scale' accurate, but they closely resemble the prototype.
First, Lockport Yard (which was almost to scale at the old house.)
To put things into perspective, the yard itself was about 16' long. (overall about 20')

Second Harrison Radiator (which was also close to scale)
... The Building complex was about 9' / 2' at the old house.

I'm quite happy with the results.. and have a good plan to move forward!!!.
