I would love to see the PRR X31 et all in N scale. A signature car that operated from the early 1930’s to the late 1960’s, and they traveled all over North America (the RPC article on them showed several photos in CA). Thanks.Jeff
Anyone know the era for the various paint schemes of the Procor 5820 hoppers?
I received my Procor 5820's last week, in pretty much every scheme except the later Procor black logo and Essex Hybrid cars (too new for me). Overall, very nice cars. I ran them on my loop to see how well they run, and they do run very well, no detail getting in the way of the trucks or hanging below the railhead (zero trip pins snagging on frogs). Probably the best free rolling Rapido cars I have. With a 29 car train there were no issues reversing with the weight of the train on them as they were shoved through (Kato) switches; they stay planted on the rails.The one issue I did have was some random uncoupling in a few places on a few cars. However, I have had this same issue with new MT couplers as well as with MT clones on other Mfg's cars, so I can't say this is necessarily a fault with the couplers Rapido used.The Procor 5820 has occupied one of the spots on my list of 'cars I really need', and I'm very pleased to see it crossed off that list with this very nice car. That list has gotten shorter in the past few years, thanks in part to Rapido... just need someone to do those 1970's and 1980's LPG tankcars.
I agree these cars run real well!My only gripe is one of my six ordered arrived with no trucks Where is the QCHaving a devil of a time getting Rapido to respond to my 3 emails in the last 2 weeks. Next the phone.This adds to the hassle I had with the Dash 8 .
Oh wow! That's a new one. Though one of my NAR GMD-1's came missing an idler axle, and they never responded to emails regarding that.Still waiting for the new cct boards for the LRC cars, too
