The first set was available several years ago and were pretty nice - the second is new.  I have a bunch on order, we'll see....

So the core of a tie and surfacing gang is available - at least an NS gang.   There is a chance more machines are coming, but I won't spill the beans. Just head over and buy some (I am just a buyer here).

Both of these sellers have other models of interest.

I am combining parts of 2 regulators to make a double broom. And I'm looking for appropriate flatcars.

There is a market for MOW - I have sold 193 NS/CR Camp Trailers!

I would be interested, but I'm in Z-scale.  I'm not sure they would translate well, even if he was willing to do that.

I'll bring it up with the developer...

I'm interested - I bought some of your early truck beds - but I need to clear some projects first.

Cool!

Of course now I'm finding a shortage of flatcars.

I mean, that's great but it wasn't my intention to try and stump for a Z version.   I haven't really looked into pricing or anything.  I just thought the pics looked nice.   EDIT: So looked and the pricing seems reasonable, I would mostly be interested in the MK III tamper as I have one of the ballast regulator kits from Showcase Miniatures.

I am very interested in these.  Do you know the quantity of each for a typical tie and surfacing gang?  I saw T&S 20 in December, and I was able to get decent pictures of the entire consist.  But there are a few pieces of equipment that I can't identify.  There are also a few flatcars that I cant identify for the length.  There were 13 total flatcars, 8 were 53 foot, 2 were 89 foot, and three were in between.  One of the flats looks to be a standard 60 foot, but the other two were closer to 70 or 80 foot length.  Definitely not 89 foot.  Perhaps they were made special, or cut down from something else.  One important piece that is missing from the equipment is the scorpion ramp.  There are two on Shapeways, one is Z scale, the other is HO.

I'm going with:

4  cranes, 4 spikers, 2 regulators,  1 regulator converted to double broom, 1 MKII and 1 MKIII tamper

1 Showcase tie crane boom truck, 1 back hoe, some tie/tool carts I built from the Green Max MOW kit + scraps

A tie exchanger is in the works, but no promises from the designer.

4 Atlas 89 flats, 3 walthers 53 flats (or wheels of time), 1 Intermountain 60 flat.

Plus - the two MTL Tool boxcars.  1 Exactrail waffle box in gray,  several Train-worx gons and 6 of my Shapeways camp trailer (flats TBD - but best would be NScaleKits F30's.

1 Walthers/atlas pulpwood car, bulkhead lowered in gray to carry generator and propane.

I will probably put together a decal sheet - if I do, I will make it available.

I am inquiring about the scorpion...

Those 80' flats are early intermodal cars - and N Scale Kits offers a very similar car though not exact.
