I'll toss my contrarian view grenade into this once- anything I perceive as personal attacks or offensive comments unnecessary and not in context or jest, I'll throw down.
Just to represent the dissatisfaction I often feel is pervasive in online society, or lack of it.
And its negative...
I'm in the same boat... It's a very, very rare occasion for which I pull the downvote trigger, but when I do, it's for personal attacks, posts in blatant violation of the forum's subject matter rules (no politics, dead bodies, etc.), intentional misinformation, obvious spamming, or when someone is clearly playing traffic chicken with the mods.
Or when someone's modeling Auschwitz... Unless you're building it under the auspices of a memorial organization for the purposes of properly contextualized historical interpretation, that one's completely irredeemable
regardless of the spin you put on it.
