What's everybody using for acrylic paints these days?

So, I'm trying to get back into painting and weathering. The last project I did was 2014! Back then I used Testors Model Masters and thinned it with Windex. I'm looking at possibly ordering some Vallejo paints, a set called Black and White that has a good assortment. Anybody use Badger Modelflex? I remember it sprayed beautifully but I didn't have good results thinning it down for weathering. Tru Scale has a nice assortment of railroad colors, but I believe they're all solvent based, correct? Anyway, what are you using?

I mainly use a mix of Tamiya acrylic paints when weathering. I’ve never had any problems with their paint clogging up my cheap airbrush, and it’s not finicky about the amount of thinner added. It always delivers good consistent results.

If you mean Tru-Color paints then yes, they are acetone-based (stinky) paints. I like them for decorating models, but I never tried them as weathering paints.

A YouTuber recently turned me onto Tamiya acrylics...  They can be thinned with Isopropyl alcohol and spray really nice and cover well, even thinned out quite a bit.  Had been a fan of Vallejo up to that point, but I've been acquiring Tamiya paint ever since trying some out.  Started using it spraying the static grass on my layout, worked great!  Then tried it out on some scrap N scale flextrack and it worked really well for that too.

I have been using Vallejo Model Air acrylics for a while and I like them. As the name implies they come already thinned to a consistency to allow airbrushing (although I found that you can get even better results if you add some of their airbrush thinning medium as well), and in terms of availability a lot of different retailers stock them at pretty reasonable prices.

Like @btrain and @JeffB I use Tamiya for airbrushing almost exclusively.  A few drops of their retarder is key to minimizing tip dry.

I also use Vallejo and various artist tube acrylics for hand brushing and washes.
