N Scale Turntable

I put the roundtable files that I finished last spring (see above) up on my thingiverse.com account yesterday here.....

https://www.thingiverse.com/sumner/designs

Also the build detail that shows all the parts and how they go together is here .....

http://1fatgmc.com/RailRoad/Turntable/Turntable-Index.html

Links to the print files are on those pages also.

I designed some of the hand rails for the deck and the arch platform last summer but not all so they aren't up and I still hope to design ladders to get down into the pit and probably up the arch as well. I do have print files for ladders on my account/site also that could be used.

I'm undecided if I'll put the Arduino sketches up or not as there hasn't been any interest in the electrical part of the project. A number of the print files have been collected though in the last 24 hours. One could come up with a number of ways to rotate the table if they didn't want to follow my example.

Above is a video overview of the turntable in operation.

Here are two more videos I did a while back showing the control one has running the table....

You can slow the table down to the really slow speed shown in the first video above and you could set the initial indexing speed or final speed to anything you wanted in the second video.

Hi Sumner,

Very neat and just what I am looking for.   I tried downloading the files from Thingiverse but get the dreaded "Error 404 - you have reached the end of the Thingiverse" message for every one of the files.

Are they available for download from any other location ?

Steve

Click on the "Thing Files" and download individually.

I just saw this, I see that it is an older post. I would be interested in the electronics for making this work.
Hopefully you still have the information.

A list of the parts used or the Arduino Sketches or both?

I got it and replied but for anyone else interested in this I'll try and get a better parts list and the Arduino sketch's up in the next couple weeks,
