Has anyone upgraded the couplers on a Bachmann GG1? I tried swapping in BLI couplers, which are a hybrid of Accu-Mate and MTL 1015. They drop in but ride too high. The stock boxing glove couplers also ride slightly high. I would like to use MTL if possible, but I hesitate to start modifying parts since they aren’t easily replaced if need be. I’ll swap in McHenry knuckles for now, which are slightly smaller and have a slightly shorter shank. But I would greatly prefer MTLs if possible.
