Since apparently big steam is what sells, maybe one day a Virginian 2-6-6-6 is a possibility. I may be in for a Y6B, but some more H2A’s would be nice though!

Or the C&O H-8 Allegheny which is practically the same engine.

Speaking of heavy 2-10-2s, I would really like to see the B&O "Big Six" version (named for numbers in the 6000 series).  They are big, handsome brutes that were ubiquitous in the era and region I model.

I am wondering if some manufacturer will some day figure out how to take a pretty standard steamer mechanism and produce a variety of shells for distinctive railroad prototypes. 

At this point, it seems that starting with a 3D resin print is the way to go for that effect for home-brews.  There was a guy on here a couple of years ago who was posting about doing that on a custom basis, but that seems to have faded away.

Yes a B&O Big six would be cool. I love that offset bell. To me it makes that engine unique.

I'm sorry folks, but there is a good reason why a 2-10-2 is called a SANTA FE.  If they are going to do a Santa Fe, they should start with the right road.

A 2-10-x mechanism is really needed in N scale.  I wish Kato would do a heavy USRA 2-10-2 that could be fodder for kitbashes, it would really help.

The Reading T1s had basically the same footprint as WM’s J1 Potomac’s. I’ll be adapting my kit to use the BLI 4-8-4 as a starting point. Similarly, the PRR hippos are close enough that I may finally be able to get my WM I2s. I’ve been sitting on blueprints for years. The next few years may prove to be expensive BUT that would give me 4 classes of steam locomotives. Give me a small challenger and I’m a happy camper!
