It is a beautiful layout.  How big is the room it is in?  Is there a layout plan online?  I'm working on finalizing plans for the basement railroad empire, and no doubt have much less space, but I think there are plenty of ideas from that layout that many of us could learn from and/or incorporate into our home and club layouts.

My one critique (as an old guy, but one who has put together a fair number of sound tracks for theater productions) is that I would save the techno dance beat music for something more 21st century than triple headed steam on a block of meat reefers.  Maybe some Bluegrass or just the old standby country western train songs.

On the other hand, if the music helps draw young folks into your modeling group, forget what I just said.

That is a video of the RMCQ N Scale layout - upper deck only.

I can provide the plans in SCARM format if you wish.

I may give up the idea of a basement empire, and just take my trains and move to Queensland.

Video of a "caboose-cam" view of their N scale layout.  Check out the rock cuts and trestles.  Outstanding work.

Also learned in another of their videos that my Bachmann 2-8-0 (purchased after my last layout was dismantled) will pull a substantial train of hoppers.

Oops, I apologize.  Thought I was posting a link to the youtube page, did not expect it to inbed like that.  I had no part in creating any of that, so give any up-votes to the club members, not me.

What a great model railroad! I especially liked the port area- the waves on the water, the buildings all top-notch.

Indeed, but I imagine that anyone who works for the Australian equivalent of the (US) FAA would have a heart attack at all the airborne shenanigans.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Not only an impressive layout, but a nice bunch of people that display an equally impressive N scale exhibition layout at our annual Expo.
